Motivational Sales Training Seminars – Do They Work?

I was at an event recently and someone asked me ” OK Kim – cut to the chase. Do you think a motivational sales training seminar will make a difference to me?”

I said 2 words.

“It depends.”

If you’re ready to be accountable, be willing to make different choices, and actually DO what you are taught and follow through- then I think training in any format is something you will benefit from. 

HUGELY.

What doesn’t work?

When you expect someone to wave magic fairy dust over your head and PRESTO – you get to make millions by lying on the couch.

Success is  based on ACTION. Not laziness.

So there.

What NOT To Do When Leaving A Voicemail Message

There’s  a  cheesy company that has been trying to unsuccessfully to “cold call” me for about…a month.

What ticks me off about their old-fashioned and out-dated sales approach?

  1. They use an unknown number.
  2. They leave a message – ” I’d like to talk to you about a “transcription matter” – which is their sneaky way of trying to get me to call them back. (I know there aren’t any “matters” I need to speak to them about)
  3. And they keep callingggggggg.

My sales tip to all of you fabulous women in sales?

Don’t do that. 

Contrary to popular belief ” Persistence does not wear down resistance.”

It just makes you a pain in the you know what.
